Strip + plus sign on international calls

One of our sites frequently receives international calls. Calls from Italy have the + sign in front of the number.

The Adtran sees this and passes it along, making it an invalid call to our pbx. We tried using the Substitution

Template, but "+" isn't an accepted character and is ignored (we tried +X to X. The + still gets passed).

We can't be the only ones who've ever seen this. How can we strip the + sign?

We're referring the problem to our carrier, because really they shouldn't be sending that in the first place, but

in the meantime we'd like to see if we can solve this with the Adtran.

After opening posting this question here, you opened a ticket with Technical Support and after working with you on that, it looks like your Voice Router had to be configured to remove the "+".

That's correct. If you've never noticed (I know I hadn't) you can dial a "+" from a cell phone.

The + gets sent with the digits on international calls, but we were able to strip it in the router.
