Q&A

What do I do if my ATLAS 550 T1 Port is in Red Alarm, Blue Alarm, and Loss of Signal?

Q: What do I do if my ATLAS 550 T1 Port is in Red Alarm, Blue Alarm, and Loss of Signal?

A:

If you have a T1 module with a port that is in Red alarm, Blue alarm, and Loss of Signal (LOS) at the same time, this means that you have a List 2 (Part Number ends in L2) T1 module with older firmware on your Atlas.  To support an L2 T1 module, the chassis must have at least Firmware revision C.09.03.  To download Firmware, go to http://support.adtran.com and navigate to the Atlas 550 page.  On that page, click on "Download Atlas 550 Firmware".  Figure 1 shows a screen shot of what this problem would look like on a List 2 Dual T1 Module.
