Has anyone noticed issues with the 2.4ghz radio since the 2.8 firmware update? We have 2030's in our office and a client's office, when connecting to the 2.4 radio, the speed is horrible, while the 5ghz is just fine. When streaming an audio device on the 2.4ghz radio, it is really choppy, where as the 5ghz works just fine. We didn't have this problem on the 1920's before replacing them with the 2030's, it seems like this started after the 2.8 update. Also seems like the APs will just stop responding even though the AP shows UpdateToDate in vWLAN.
Any suggestions or has anyone experienced this?
Thank You,
Jason
Jason,
We have been experiencing somewhat similar issues with our 2030's since upgrading the vwlan to 2.8.0 and the ap firmware to 2.8.0.
In our case the access points often stop allowing new connections on the 5ghz radio, requiring a reboot of the access point.
Any suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks,
Aaron
Jason,
We are also experiencing erratic behavior with the 2030's since the upgrade to 2.8.0
We're getting dropped clients, very slow performance, and what appears to be some random reboots of AP's.
Thanks,
Alan
Add me to the list as having issues with the 2030's. Very poor performance and dropped clients as well.
Hello,
I am responding to everyone on this thread individually to make sure you see the responses.
I would urgently suggest you open a ticket with ADTRAN Product Support and detail these issues. There should not be a drop in performance between 2.8.0 and another version, nor should the 2030s experience these types of problems. We would definitely like to investigate the issue and resolve it.
You can open a ticket by calling 888-423-8726 or at www.adtran.com/openacase.

I too am experiencing this issue, will contact support soon.
Hello,
I definitely suggest anyone still feeling that they are experiencing new issues in 2.8.0 to open a ticket. At this time, we still have not identified any performance issues in 2.8.0 with 2030s or another AP. However, the RF environment can change very quickly and 2.4Ghz especially has much less bandwidth and channel freedom to handles these issues. In many cases, RF changes around your site may have happened in the same time-frame which greatly affect speed and performance. I would recommend you check out our two RF documents on these situations:
Avoiding RF Interference with a Successful BlueSocket Wireless Deployment
Using vWLAN to Troubleshoot RF Interference and Maintain a Healthy RF Environment
Please let me know if anyone has additional questions and do not hesitate to open a ticket with us at www.adtran.com/openacase as we are always happy to help.
Thanks,
