Q: What type of Power Over Ethernet (POE) is required to power the Bluesocket AP?

A: The Bluesocket 1500, 1540, 1700, 1800v1, 1800v2, 1840, 1920, 1925, 1930, and 1935 are 802.3af class 3 compliant meaning they use up to 15.4 watts. The BSAP-1920, 1925, 1930, and 1935 although fully functional with 802.3af, also support 802.3at. The 1940 requires 802.3at. Any switch, injector or midspan which meets these requirements can be used. The BSAP-16XX uses proprietary POE power supply.
