When you receive a new Bluesocket Access Point, or a replacement, it is necessary to activate the new or replacement key to obtain a license file. The key will be emailed to both the registered owner of that serial number (if registered), and the email address provided on the order for the AP license. If you have a new AP, but have not received a key by email, please contact your Reseller to obtain that key.
The key(s) provided by email from ADTRAN or forwarded from the Reseller are not yet activated against any serial number(s). The activation step must be performed to obtain the license file.
To obtain the license your product, apply the keys to the hardware serial numbers you wish to license using the ADTRAN Licensor found at http://www.adtran.com/licensing. The license process will also register the hardware to the email address tied to the ADTRAN login of the person who licenses it. Please be sure the hardware owner performs the licensing process.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS FOR OBTAINING YOUR LICENSE:
Log into http://www.adtran.com/licensing to use the ADTRAN Licensor. The email address you use to log into the website will be the email address to which these hardware devices are registered. If you do not own, or are not managing these hardware devices, please forward this email, or a list of keys, to that person to complete the licensing process.
Format the data and enter it into the licensor:
If you have only a few products, you can type (or copy/paste) this information directly into the licensor – serial number comma activation key - instead of using Excel, or
Open the .csv file in Excel. Column A contains the part number, and column B contains the keys as listed above.
Overwrite column A entries with the serial numbers you wish to license.
Paste the following formula into cell C1: =CONCATENATE(A1,",",B1) then copy C1 and paste it to the C cell of all rows for which you have serial numbers and keys. This will ensure each row contains serial number then comma then key.
If you encounter an error when trying to generate your license please read the corrective actions below.
SN registered to a different account
You’ll need us to fix this. Just open a support case by clicking here, then click the green button, and enter the serial number you attempted to license in the box on the right. Put “License Issue” as the summary, and be sure you tell us in the details that the serial number is registered to a different user, but you need it registered to you, and give us your email address. These requests are handled very quickly, and we may contact you for verification.
Feature Has Already Been Applied the Maximum Number of Times to This Serial Number
If you see this error message, your access point is already licensed. Simply remove the activation key, and enter only the serial number on a line in the licensing utility. The license will download along with any other serial number and key combinations you entered.
Invalid serial number
If you are absolutely sure you entered the number that’s on the device, you’ll need us to fix this. Just open a support case by clicking here, then click the green button, and use the serial number you attempted to license in the box on the right. Put “License Issue” as the summary, and be sure you tell us in the details that the serial number is showing up on the licensing tool as invalid. We will update the serial number in our system to allow the license to proceed and contact you to let you know to try again.
