Park Zones

Jump to solution

We are having some issues with Parking calls on the Adtran 712 phones on our Netventa 7100. We have created a Status Group with 5 park zones in it. The issue we are having is as follows:

Answer call on Ext 102

Park Call in Zone 1

Retrieve Call after Park Return(60 sec)

Park Call in Zone 1 a 2nd time

Retrieve Call after Park Return

Park Call in Zone 1 a 3rd time

Retrieve Call after Park Return

Try to Park call in Zone 1 a 4th time but are unable to do so or in any other park zone.

Also, after you hang up the call for another ten minutes or so you can not Park any incoming calls using the BLFs on the phone.

Is this an known issue and if so, is there a fix for it?

This issue was recently resolved in 2.4.1 firmware.  It was accidentally not included in the , but we are working to get them updated.

One thing to note, is you need to give the Park BLF indicator enough time to update after the call is returned before trying to park it again.

Thanks,

Matt

Re: Park Zones

kurttsc,

Thanks for posting this question.  Using a park zone as a status group (BLF) was not supported on ADTRAN IP 700 phones until R2.2.0.  Can you check to see what version of firmware the IP 700 phones are running?  You can check this by going to Menu > 1.Phone Status > 4.Firmware Ver. on the phone itself or by looking at the firmware reported in the Phone Type column in the Reports > Phone Registration List section of the web interface.

Thanks,
Matt

We were running R2.2.0 on our test unit and say that there was a new Firmware Version. We tried it on R2.2.0 and was able to duplicate the issue. We were also able to duplicate the issue when running R2.3.0

Re: Park Zones

Same issue as KurtSC

Parking calls on the Adtran 712 phones with Netvanta 7100.

Answer call on any Ext

Park Call in Zone 1

Retrieve Call after Park Return(60 sec)

Try to Park call in Zone 1 and are unable to do so or in any other park zone.

Hang up the call and cannot Park any incoming calls using the park zone keys on the phone.

Soft key park initiated from the bottom of the display works every time.

Will continue testing.
