Block https://www.facebook.com/ in 1335 Firewall

Jump to solution

Hello, I am looking for instructions on how to block domain name https://www.facebook.com/ in the firewall on a 1335. I tried URL filtering but  currently, AOS URL filtering does not support HTTPS or FTP.

I want to block users on VLan 1 from accessing Facebook.

THanks

- Unfortunately, at this time, https URL filtering is not supported on AOS products. However, you can use ACLs to block HTTPs access by IP address or hostname. This, however, comes with limitations and can become very difficult to manage.

You may have an option available using Websense. AOS does provide integration with Websense servers. More information on this can be found using this guide: Configuring Websense and URL Filtering in AOS

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

Noor
