turning off ssh console logging

Jump to solution

NetVanta 1335 acting as a router:

I can't seem to find any reference to turning off console logging that actually works.

I have:

event-history on

logging forwarding on

no logging console

logging facility local2

logging forwarding priority-level info

logging forwarding receiver-ip 192.168.1.26

no logging email

However, when I ssh into the switch, I get a lot of messages (firewall blocking) to the ssh session.   Very annoying.

Is there a way to turn that off?

no events

from enable mode should do it.

Could have sworn I tried that, but that worked.   Thanks!

That's good to know.  Is there any way to write that into the config so we don't have to enter "no events" each time (assuming that we remember that command!)

- Unfortunately, you will need to enter "no events" each time you log in to the CLI to stop the event messages from popping up. You can limit the messages by setting the event-history priority to be the highest (fatal) or higher ("event-history <priority level>"). This would be a setting that could be written into the configuration.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
