1535P protection with outside wiring

I know it is not recommended in the release notes to have the 1535P with active reach connected to outside plant wiring but I was wondering if ADTRAN has a recommended surge/lightning protection that will support this?

No, I'm afraid at this stage the recommendation is still "don't connect this to outside plant cabling". There very well might be solutions for this out there that *could* work but nothing that would be officially sanctioned by us.

Re: 1535P protection with outside wiring

I just wanted to jump in and add to this post that ADTRAN has now released an ActivReach Configuration and Troubleshooting guide called for any customers who may be looking at this thread for ActivReach information. Check it out!

Thanks,
