Re: NetVanta an Dell R740 10GB port not working
2 things I had trouble when I went to a 10G, 1 improper SFP (Adtran 1638 didn't recognize) 2 I had to hard code SFP 10000 link speed.

Re: NetVanta an Dell R740 10GB port not working
Hi,
- I would upgrade to R13.2.3 ( Latest EMR for this switch, for SFP compatability ) and
- The 1534P max speed is 2.5 Gbps on ports 0/27 & 0/28.
- 2.5Gbps is SFP dependent and is not supported by most 1 Gbps SFP's
- If the server is a VM kind of server these connections can be both connected to a Vswitch.
- Check your spanning-tree design and that you are not blocking on any ports
- Some servers will use one and the second connection is a failover
- They also may be trying to do LACP ( what we call Port-Channels).
- Adtran 1534 Supports static port-channels ( no negotiation )
- This is not the default on VM or Linux servers
- This is also not the default on Windows Servers
