I feel dumb here. I purchased a 3140 a few years back. I'm going to be installing it now to upgrade from my 3120.
I went to register it and I cant get the registration tool to recognize my serial Number.
it is the number that matches the examples you provide. Directly under the Bar code.
it is in the format of:
001111A12345
Two leading zeros
4 numerals
1 letter
4 numerals
I tried omitting the zeros
changing the ambiguous letter to a visually similar number...
Nada
THE P/N IS 1700341F1
I know I have no Networking skills but I should be able to do this
Any help or advice? Can I register over the phone?

You could call Adtran support and inquire. Jumping through the registration hoops to the best of my knowledge doesn't really do anything useful for you. It's mostly a marketing thing. We have literally hundreds of Adtran products in service and to the best of my knowledge have registered none of them.
Check this document: https://supportforums.adtran.com/docs/DOC-5037#NetVantaSeries
Also try prepending the number you have with the characters "LBADTN"
Thank you, I tried all possible iterations of the serial number using that prefix as well.
Is there a way to register it otherwise?

Thanks Jay.
I was really doing it with the thought that it triggers my "in service" warranty.. If the warranty is from date of purchase, I'm SOL anyhow.
I'll give them a call and ask.
ADTRAN starts the warranty based on point of sale data from distributors and resellers, or 30 days after shipping from ADTRAN, whichever is later. The NV3140 would have been shipped with a 5 year warranty, so you might have some time left. The serial number would look like CFG####### or LBADTN####LL###. If you don't see a number like one of those, you will need to log into the unit and use the command "show version". Once you have it, you can see the warranty details by entering your serial number on this page.
Thank you Christie. I'll get that info today and check.
Thanks again. I was able to lookup that # and I am Under Warranty until 2021.
