DHCP pool reservation

ip dhcp-server pool "khang"

  default-router 10.10.150.1

  host 10.10.150.139 255.255.255.0

  hardware-address 00:a0:c8:61:36:df ethernet

Hi, I've program that already, but the phones get that ip address, then boots up then get another ip 10.10.150.140.  Any ideas?  I'm having problems with the phone, so I wanted to keep the same ip address so that I can run some debug program.  However, the phone is getting 10.10.150.139, reboots, then get 10.10.150.140 from dhcp server.

Re: DHCP pool reservation

Thank you for asking this question in the support community.  Can you verify that the MAC address of the phone 00:a0:c8:61:36:df?  Is the ADTRAN unit the only DHCP server on the network?

If you would like to reply with the configuration of the ADTRAN router, as well as the output from the debug ip dhcp server command, I will be happy to review it for you.

Please, do not hesitate to reply to this post with any questions or additional information.  I will be happy to help in any way I can.

Re: DHCP pool reservation

Levi,  Here is the debug output.  Looks like it did give it the correct, then change it, I have no idea why.  I'm guessing have something to do with option 157.

Thank you for replying with the debug information and the configuration.  I have a few questions, based on the configuration.  It appears that the phone subnet is in the native VLAN (VLAN 1).  Do you also have PCs plugged into the phones?  Can you assign the phones VLAN 1 in the option 157, or assign the switchports on the router where the phones are connected to be in VLAN 1?  It is not common to have the DHCP option 157 set the "Layer2Tagging=False" and also have the switchports configured as trunks.

Please, let me know if you can try any of those options.

Re: DHCP pool reservation

Hi Levi,  there is no pc plug into the back of the phone.  I only have 1 vlan on this router.  I have option 157 Layer2Tagging=True,VlanID=1 and I get the same results.

Levi,  I think the problem is on the 7100 which is the phone system also on the remote VPN other side.  So when the phone boot up, the first time, it gets the address 10.10.150.140.  It gets the FTP file fromt he 7100 and now it goes back to pickup any available ip address.
