Troubleshooting PPP over T1

Network Overview:

I have (1) NetVanta 5305 with (2) Octal T1 cards communicating over multiple T1 circuits to remote sites; each remote site has (1) T1 and (1) NetVanta 3200.  I have used bridging to extend a private LAN to each remote site.  Attached are my configuration files.

Issue:

The telco advised that a new T1 circuit was turned up, tested, and ready for traffic.  At the remote end (New Harmony Router) we installed the NetVanta 3200 but the link was not established.  Accessing the GUI of the NetVanta 5305 (SSC Router) I discovered that state "REQSENT" was for Interface T1 2/3.  Thinking the problem was in the remote NetVanta, I copied another working configuration (Rockport Router), modified the MAC and IP addresses, then loaded the revised config into the New Harmony Router. Note that the New Harmony Router configuration attached is the revised config; I do not have the original config.

After this I then accessed the SSC NetVanta 5305 GUI again and discovered that Interface T1 2/3 is now in "ACKSENT" and still not working.  It's also worth mentioning that I have a new T1 on Interface T1 1/3 that is also in state "REQSENT".  I do not have that remote configuration file on hand.

I suspect a clock issue, but really don't know.  We currently have about 10 T1's active on the NetVanta 5305 and I have modified the configuration files for the other remotes with no problems.  I have found it is much simpler to modify a configuration file in Notepad and then load onto the router.

Any recommendations is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Re: Troubleshooting PPP over T1

Thank you for asking this question in the support community.  After my initial review of the configurations, I don't see anything in that would cause this issue.  It appears there is something that isn't negotiating properly with the PPP establishment.  Is it possible to get a PPP debug from both sites, or at least one of them?  I would like to see the output from the debug ppp negotiation command when the link is attempting to establish.

Please, do not hesitate to reply to this post with any questions or additional information.  I will be happy to help in any way i can.

Levi - thanks for your post.  I will try the debug ppp negotiation as you prescribe above and post the results.
