3430 with Enhanced Feature set support for SIP natting?

Does the enhanced feature set enable the type of Natting that will work with SIP Trunk or is this feature only supported by the SBC feature set? If that is the case can the SBC feature set be added to the router on top of the enhanced feature set?  Thanks

Re: 3430 with Enhanced Feature set support for SIP natting?

Hi dedin:

The Enhanced Feature Pack (EFP) supports a variety of SIP trunking approaches, along with a SIP Application Layer Gateway (ALG; reference ) which can be leveraged as needed.  My SIP trunking experience has been pretty good with EFP only, but there have been some limitations.  Also, I'm told that the ALG features aren't being developed for any enhancement now that range of devices support SBC.  I know this is sort of a non-answer, at least non-definitive.  But it may boil down to your application.

Regarding the 3430, Standard/EFP hardware cannot be upgraded to SBC because of different requirements.  3430 with SBC is a separate part number must be ordered from ADTRAN as such.

Best,

Chris
