SSH Host Keys

Jump to solution

Is it possible to regenerate the SSH host keys on a NetVanta 3448? I can't find any CLI commands that would appear to do it. All of our routers are using the same host key, which probably means they're using the same host key as every other factory 3448 in the world, which is a little worrisome.

There is a command to regenerate SSH keys on the AOS device.  See the troubleshooting section.

I admittedly don't have much experience doing this, but it seems like the standard process I've used to setup unique SSH keys for the few Linux servers I've admin.

I came across that article repeatedly and somehow never saw the ssh key regenerate thing. Thanks!
