Does the NetVanta 644 support VRF and BGP?

We are using the NetVanta 644 device because of its ability to handle 4 PRI connections coming from a PBX.  The device will be using a blended circuit that has a direct Internet connection and an MPLS connection using BGP as a routing protocol.  I am receiving the Unrecognized Command message if I type the vrf or router bgp 65000 command.  I researched and saw in a matrix for firmware 13.1 that the firmware does not support VRF or BGP for this model.  Is that correct or is there a way around that?  Thanks.

Re: Does the NetVanta 644 support VRF and BGP?

Not supported. One possible alternative would be a TA908e third generation, depending on the loading of the PRIs. This unit will handle four physical PRIs but only has 60 DSP resources. If you're doing RTP-to-TDM conversions you would be limited to 60 simultaneous calls on the PRIs.

Alternatively you could front-end the 644 with a BGP and VRF-capable device.

Thanks for your reply.  Looks like we're going to go with adding a Cisco router in front to do BGP and VRF and the ADTRAN behind it.  I appreciate your help!
