If IP phones are registered to NetVanta6310 can they dial out a PRI on a TA924 2nd Gen?

The setup is as follows.  It's a VoIP PBX system with the main servers at Location 1.  We have (2) Adtrans at Location 2.  Both sites are connected with a WAN link. TA924 2nd Gen is used as the PRI gateway and the NetVanta 6310 is used as the POTS line gateway.  In a critical survivability setting we have the phones at Location 2 programmed to register to the NetVanta 6310 should the WAN link go down.  Is there a command structure that can be implemented on the 6310 device to allow the phones to dial out the PRI on the TA924?

Yes. Create a SIP trunk on the 6310 pointing to the IP of the TA924. Add a voice grouped-trunk referencing the new trunk, and on it apply an accept pattern with a cost higher than that going over the trunk to the remote PBX. This can be a $ for accept all or you may want to limit it to exclude extensions in order to prevent confusion.

If the PBX expects a leading "9" for outside, use match-substitute in the trunk configuration to strip the "9" so that users don't need to dial anything differently. For example:

match dnis 9-1-NXX-NXX-XXXX substitute 1-NXX-NXX-XXXX

match dnis 9-NXX-XXXX substitute NXX-XXXX

match dnis 9-N11 substitute N11
