Retrieving deleted voicemail

Jump to solution

Is there a way to retrieve deleted voicemails? I have a NetVanta 7100 with Adtran IP712 phones.

Thank you,

Tricia

Tricia,

There is no way to recover the files from the NetVanta 7100 directly.  If you had voicemail to e-mail notifications configured hopefully there is a copy of the voicemail in the user's e-mail somewhere (inbox or deleted items).  If not, you may be able to remove the CFLASH, connect it to a PC, and use some type of Windows utility to recover deleted files. There is no guarantee it will work and this is a "use at your own risk" suggestion with the understanding that if anything happens to the CFLASH card it may not be covered by ADTRAN's warranty.  If you do decide to do something like that you need to make a complete backup of everything on the CFLASH card before you attempt anything so you can restore it to the previous state in case you run into problems.

Thanks,

Matt
