Syslog forwarding

Once you've setup your syslog forwarding how|where do you find the smdr.txt file or is that even what the data gets forwarded as on to your server?

It sends Syslog message to the IP you have listed.  That system needs to be running a Server applications that listens to those messages and adds them to a database.  There are many applications to do this with just look for a Syslog server that matches your OS environment and budget constraints.

Thanks, that makes sense now and I have implemented a syslog server and it seems to be doing what I needed
