programming vvx400 expansion module (vvx em - paper label)

I'm working on setting up my first 7100 for a customer site and they requested a sidecar (vvx em paper label) for one of their vvx400s. Upon looking I have been unable to find how to program/enable the expansion module as it wasn't mentioned in my training course or in the documentation I have (to the best of my knowledge).

Hi Eric,

There's not a whole lot to programming the EM for VVX phones.  You would simply go into that particular phone's IP phone config, and under "Expansion Modules", select 1.  Then, select "Paper" under "Expansions Module Display Type".  Next, add the status group that needs to be monitored.  Click "Apply" at the bottom of the page, and you should be good to go.  Here's a quick start guide for the modules, and a link to a template that will allow you to type out and print the labels for the status group:
