How to upgrade an SR350N to a SR350NE

Use the following steps to set up a SR350N unit to be utilized with an Ethernet WAN device.

Differently said, this procedure converts an SR350N (set up for DSL WAN) connection to function instead with Ethernet WAN connection.

Step-By-Step:

1. Download the most current firmware version for the SR350NE from ADTRAN and install it on your gateway.
   1. Point your web browser to 192.168.1.1/admin
   2. Click the Management button on the left hand side of the screen, and click on "Update Software"
   3. Aelect the Choose File button and select your freshly downloaded SR350NE firmware version.
   4. Click the Update Software button.  Do not reset the modem during this process, it can take a few minutes to complete.
2. The modem will reboot automatically and the new SR350NE software will be present.
3. Return to the device GUI and select Management > Settings > Restore Default. The modem will perform a final reset.

The LAN4 port on the back of the modem is now only usable for Ethernet WAN.
