we have started having an issue with SmartRG 516ac's, they stop resolving DNS. reboot modem will solve it for a period of time, hours maybe days, but once this starts it seems to continue. the weird thing is if we replace the SR516ac with another SR516ac it will continue with that new SR516ac. if we replace the unit with another model modem from SmartRG or another manufacture it will not have any problems with DNS.
i have tried updating firmware, backing off to an earlier firmware, still has the issue. we use Calix C-7, E-3 and E-7 , the issue has occurred on both the C-7 and E-3 shelfs, have not seen this on the E-7's yet, currently we have 7 seperate incidents with this so i imagine it is only a matter of time before it occurs with the E-7 as well. anyone deal with this?
It is a known issue for the SR555ac and SR506n. I was told to disable the DNS Proxy then reboot the device.

I use public DNS in LAN side, which is helping me to avoid the DNS issue.
