n-Command API

Does anyone have any full n-Command API examples? The ones in the 8 page PDF don't give me the complete picture. A Python(or any language) script to retrieve a list of device would be enough to get me started

(I tried creating this post under the n-Command section but it kept saying "You are not allowed to create or update this content")
