This document explains the fundamentals of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and its configuration on Adtran Switch Engine (ASE) NetVanta 1560 Series products. Included in this guide is a brief introduction to SNMP concepts and functionality, the basic SNMP configuration steps using both the graphical user interface (GUI) and command line interface (CLI), and a brief troubleshooting section. The Appendix lists the NetVanta 1560 MIBs.
