We are testing nv 6355 and have E1 running just fine with a VIM E1/PRI module... just wondering how many E1s can we have running in the same box? Hoping to be at least two, and if there is a limit to that by the number of DSPs in the stock plane as it is with cisco, can a module with additional DSPs be added? Thanks in advance for any comment, cheers...
Wakawaka,
The NV 6355 DSP can support 27 Simultaneous G.729 AB or up to 30-G.711 active calls, so in a best case scenario we could support a up to 30-simultaneous SIP-to-TDM calls. Understanding that we can't support full 2xT1/PRI or 2xE1/PRI's calls (due to DSP limitations), we've never tested the device with 2xE1/PRI or 2xT1/PRI VIM's ---- And given that it's not tested, it's not a supported application.
