Does anyone know what will take place with an adtran router activation from a phone provider?

Our phone provider will be putting in a new adtran router.  They have requested a phone vendor to be present.  I would like to know if any has gone through this before and can tell me what will take place during the router activation? I appreciate any and all help.

Mr. Jennings,

Thanks for posting!  Generally speaking, your router activation will be a scheduled time for hardware installation and then application testing.  There may be some down time to be expected as cabling is moved over to the new devices and circuits.  The testing itself will likely be to verify phone calls in each direction, IP/data traffic flowing between the LAN and WAN, and possibly internet speed tests.  The request for the phone vendor to be present is likely to make sure any problems found while testing phone calls can be fixed promptly.

Thanks!

David
