Can someone point me in the right direction? I would like to be able to read XML information from the 5004. Is there some sort of server that needs to be set up on the 5004? What are the commands? etc.

The TA5000 does not use XML.  The TA5000 uses SNMP to the AOE EMS.  AOE has an XML Northbound gateway which is typically used to communicate with a Billing System.

Some of the TA5000 modules such as the FTTP modules use RESTCONF and NETCONF. 

Traditionally, the TA5000 uses CLI, Web GUI, SNMP and TL1 for management.
