Bandwidth limiting not working ...

Hi,

I have a BSC-1200 controller running 6.5.1.03 which looks to be the latest release. I've configured a Guest Wireless role and given that role 256Kbps of bandwidth allocation for incoming and outgoing traffic. The priority for incoming and outgoing is medium and I'm not marking DSCP.

The config looks OK to me, but the 256K limit isn't working and I can easily pull over 2Mbps using this role.

Has anyone else found anything similar? I can't find any other config that would change the way this works ...

Thanks in advance!

Dave.

Re: Bandwidth limiting not working ...

Would you mind screenshooting your role settings, and attaching the image files?

Re: Bandwidth limiting not working ...

Hi Charlie - Thanks for your reply. Images attached and any thoughts gratefully received.

After some more testing it looks like the outgoing bandwidth limit works OK, but the incoming limit doesn't work. I can set it whatever I like and can always pull large bandwidth using that role.

Dave.

You may want to disable the per-service override just to be sure no other marking are preempting these settings.
