What are the local loop metallic testing thresholds for DC Open, Short, and Ground Fault?

Answer:

For HDSL2:

DC OPEN:                   Span current between Loop Tip and Ring < 5mA SHORT: Span current between Loop Tip and Ring > 150mA
GROUND FAULT:      Impedance between high voltage conductors & ground < approximately 100kOhms

For HDSL4:

DC OPEN:                     Span current between Loop 1 and Loop 2 < 5mA

SHORT:                         Span current between Loop 1 and Loop 2 > 150mA

GROUND FAULT:        Impedance between high voltage conductors ground < approximately 100kOhms
