Do you have another ADTRAN device that can control the wireless device? Unfortunately, as stated previously in this post: NV1234 (1st Generation) units can't be WLAN controllers for NV160s. This information can be obtained from the AOS Feature Matrix.

I have a layer 3 NV1544 switch that I configured to control the Netvanta 160 AP but the wireless clients are constantly connecting and disconnecting with it. Because of the location in our facility the NV160 is still physically connected to a NV1234 Gen 1 switch but it is being controlled by the NV1544 and both the AP and the controlling switch have the latest firmware installed.
It is a common application to connect the AP to one NetVanta switch, but the access controller (AC) is another switch in the network. You simply need to make sure the NV1234s that the APs connect to are not setup as ACs, and that AWCP is off on the VLANs. If you would like to reply with the current configuration of the NV1234, I will be happy to review it for you (please make sure you have removed any information that may be sensitive to the organization).
