Jump to solution

Hello i am trying to reset one of my adtran 1238p devices to factory default settings, as the ip has changed an i am unaware what it is, and cannot access the web console.

I have serial connection using a hyperterminal program, and can follow the instructions BUT The Adtran FTP appears to be down...where else or how else can i get that file or reset this beast>?

Thank you for asking this question in the support community.  We are aware of the FTP link not working for the factory default configuration files, and apologize for the inconvenience.  We will update the document Restoring a NetVanta to Factory Default in AOS with the new FTP links, and I will follow up on this post when the transition has been completed.

Without loading the factory default configuration, there are several ways you can change the configuration to start fresh.  Via the command line interface (CLI), you can erase the configuration and have a "blank canvas" with the command erase startup-configuration.  You can follow the Accessing the Web Interface in AOS document or Accessing the Web Interface in AOS video to enable the web interface.

I have attached the factory default configuration for the NetVanta 1238, so you can have it until the FTP link is available.

Please, do not hesitate to reply to this post if you have any questions or additional information.  I will be happy to help in any way I can.

The Restoring a NetVanta to Factory Default in AOS document has been updated. Now, instead of FTP links, the documents are contained within the forum.
