NetVanta 1224ST PWR POE Stopped working

Jump to solution

I came int his morning to find our NetVanta 1224ST PWR switch was not providing POE to our VOIP phones. A direct connection to my laptop still provides network access. I have power cycled the device but the issue has not resolved. Under the POE section of the configuration site, the POE Status for every port is "Detecting". We had a storm blow through last night, but the switch is behind a APC UPS/Surge Protector. And I just found out the warranty has lapsed and can not get any phone support. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Upgraded firmware, restored default configuration. Still no POE. Chalking it up to power surge from overnight lightning storm.

I have two 1238 POE switches, similar issue, storm blew through and some port stopped
providing power, others did not, updated firmware, and some port are still
providing power, but none display it.  CLI and web show all ports auto,
and detecting, but I know there are a dozen devices on each that are getting
power.  Is the non-display of statistics a firmware issue?  Using
18-01-06.  Switches says total power used 0 watts with 10 to 12 phones
running on each.  Do you have devices getting power on some ports but not
others and the switches is just not reporting?  Both of mine reported
proper power delivered until I upgraded firmware.
