Is it possible to enable netflow on a NetVanta 1544 L3 switch?

Jump to solution

Hi,

I just purchased a network monitoring utility, and am trying to get it to analyze the traffic through my devices.  I work for a school district with several different buildings, and each has a NetVanta 1544 routing to the other buildings and the main campus data center. Is it possible to enable netflow or a similar protocol on these devices to monitor and analyze the traffic throughout the district?

Thanks.

Thank you for asking this question in the support community.  Unfortunately, the NetVanta 1544 platform does not support the Integrated Traffic Monitoring (ITM) or "Netflow" feature.  However, many of our other ADTRAN units do.  For a reference document of what features are supported by each platform please use the AOS Feature Matrix.

If you happen to have another ADTRAN device that supports ITM, please review the Configuring Integrated Traffic Monitoring in AOS document for what capabilities ITM can perform.  Furthermore, this post may be useful as a reference in the future:  .

Again, I'm sorry, but the NetVanta 1544 unit does not have a way to monitor the traffic, as you described.  Please, let me know if you have any additional questions.  I will be happy to help in any way I can.
