Windows Teaming and LACP

Jump to solution

Windows 2012 R2 Server with 2-Broadcom NICs

Adtran 1534P Switch with the following config:

interface port-channel 1

  description Server

  no shutdown

  switchport mode trunk

!

interface gigabit-switchport 0/9

  description NIC-1

  no shutdown

  switchport mode trunk

  channel-group 1 mode on

!

interface gigabit-switchport 0/10

  description NIC-2

  no shutdown

  switchport mode trunk

  channel-group 1 mode on

When I try to team the NICs using Server 2012 teaming all I get is "Faulted LACP Negotiation".  I have teaming mode: LACP and Load balancing mode: Dynamic in the teaming properties.

Does any have Server 2012 LACP teaming working with Netvanta 1534P?

The ADTRAN switch does not negotiate the LACP and uses the static configuration.  Try turning dynamic off.

Thanks for the help.  Yes, I changed the settings in Windows teaming to the following:

Teaming mode: Static Teaming

Load Balancing mode: Address Hash

Once I made those changes teaming started working.

Thanks again for the help.
