NV 3120 Monitoring content

Jump to solution

I have a client that needs to determine which computer on their net is sending spam. On a Linksys router, I'd just go to the log. It only would go back 20 minutes, but it would show which IP was sending to what address over what port. Is there a way to get the NV 3120 to show me this info?

Thank you for asking this question in the Support Community.  There are several different ways to view this type of information.  One way to achieve this, which is similar to the method you mentioned, is to view the firewall policy-sessions.  This can be done in the web interface by navigating to Data > Firewall > Security Zones.  Then click on the number hyperlink under "Active Sessions."  This will show the active sessions that are being monitored by the firewall.

In the command line interface (CLI), this output can be found by issuing the show ip policy-sessions command.

I hope that makes sense, but please do not hesitate to reply with any additional questions.  I will be happy to help in any way I can.
