Replacing Netvanta 3305 with a 3140 and a PBX phone system (toshiba)

All,

I have a brand new 3140 that I want to exchange with a much older 3305 but I am curious what are my best options are for configuring the switch to allow/handle PBX traffic.   I do not have VLAN's defined on this network so I am curious if I need to have one setup on this 3140.   For what its worth this network is not my design, I have inherited it.
