URL Filter

Jump to solution

Guys,

Good evening, I have a doubt about the URL FIlter on the NV routers. As far as I know the URL Filter only works with http, but not with https!, is this correct!?

The situation is that I set an WebFilter on a router, but now some end users had been discovered that they can access some sites by using https. So I need to block it too.

Thanks in advance,

@dcorrea - Unfortunately, at this time, https URL filtering is not supported on AOS products. However, you can use ACLs to block HTTPs access by IP address or hostname. This, however, comes with limitations and can become very difficult to manage. However, the NetVanta UTM product line would give you the capability to filter HTTPs requests. If you are interested in learning more about this product, please contact Adtran's Application Engineers at 888-423-8726 or sending an email to application.engineering@adtran.com .

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Noor
