Mostafa,

This is typically caused from the "Send SIP keep-alives" and "Use rport" options being enabled on softphones.  Please see this post and see if it answers your question:

Re: NV7100: SIP Pre-Parser Error (UDP) :

Hi Matt,

Firstly I do not use softphone in my network, secondly I read your post and I did not get anything, because from what I understand from the function of "Send SIP keep-alives" is to ensure that SIP server is reachable, so why Netvanta 7100 respond with this strange log "SIP.STACK ERROR MSGBUILDER SIP Pre-Parser Error (UDP)".

Thanks,

Mostafa,

If that was not the cause of the issue we would need to see the output from a debug sip stack messages when the message appears as well as your current configuration to determine the cause.  If you attach them in a reply please remove passwords, public IPs, and public phone numbers.

Thanks,
Matt

Re: NV7100: SIP Pre-Parser Error (UDP) :

Hi Matt,

Sorry for my long,long,..... latency my time was very busy last days,

You are true there was one employee use a X-lite softphone and this who cause the error messages.

So is this because NV7100 does not understand this type of message issued by X-lite when "Send SIP keep-alives" and "Use rport" setting is enabled?

and if so I wonder if this setting exist only in X-lite or there is some other softphones that contain these type of setting?

Thanks,

Mostafa,

I'm glad to hear you tracked it down.  Several softphones have these options, so it is not limited to just X-lite.  The error is produced because they are not valid SIP messages.  Any UDP packets sent to the unit that are not properly formatted SIP messages will produce this error.

Thanks,
Matt
