falcon007,
Thank you for asking this question in our Support Community. ADTRAN offers their own version of Polycom VVX phones that are officially supported. Support for the ADTRAN VVX 310, ADTRAN VVX 410, and ADTRAN VVX 500 were added in R10.6, but I would suggest using R10.7 to take advantage of the latest features and enhancements.
Thanks,
Matt

Is there any difference between the Adtran branded VVX 500 and an original Polycom VVX 500? Are both supported by the 7100? Reason I ask is the Adtran branded VVX 500 seems to be much more expensive than a regular Polycom VVX 500. Yes, I know Adtran would rather have us buy their branded phones, but we don't see the point if they are the exact same phone?
Fiberman,
As of AOS Release R10.8.0 and later, we've limited the use of VVX 300/310 & 400/410 series to ADTRAN Co-branded versions only. However, you can still use Non-ADTRAN co-branded versions of the VVX 500 & 600 series with no restrictions ---- (Note: As of today, but could change in a future 7100 firmware release.)
