Not strip leading 1 on a number

Jump to solution

I want my 7100 not to strip the 1 on a 1-NXX-NXX-XXXX call. Anyone?

marteeny,

Here are a couple of things to try:

1 - Make sure the voice-grouped trunk allows calls that match that pattern:

accept 1-NXX-NXX-XXXX cost 0

2 - Make sure the voice trunk the call is going out on does not have a DNIS substitution in place that is stripping the 1:

  match dnis "1-NXX-NXX-XXXX" substitute "NXX-NXX-XXXX"

3 - If this is a PRI, you may want to try the instructions below modified from :

In the web interface go to Voice > System Setup > ISDN Num Templates and in the bottom box, click on the national dial plan with the prefix 1. Next, delete the prefix 1 and add that to the front of the Template: 1NXX-NXX-XXXX, and click add. That should allow the sending of the 1 out the PRI.

Thanks,

Matt
