1234P wont connect to customers network

Customer network is made up of dlinks.  A POE version went bad.  Trying to replace it with 1234P that they bought for future project.  It will not pass network activity.  Any thoughts

Re: 1234P wont connect to customers network

It could be one of several things.

  • Does the port between the switches show link up? If either side is hard-coded for speed and duplex the other side must match and you will probably need to use a crossover cable.
  • Is either switch configured for VLANs and/or trunking? Even if link is up, this provisioning must match.

Those would be the first couple of things to check.
