We have programmed a bi-lingual Auto Attendant, English and Spanish. We have recorded prompts in both languages. The question is how can you specify the preprogrammed system prompts for the Spanish selection? In particular, the Dial-by-Extension option an

From your Auto Attendant menu, you should have a “Change Language” option from the drop down depending on your firmware. If you don’t see it, then reply back with what firmware version you have.

Once you select it, then below you have the option to change the language as shown in the image I attached and then you choose a new Auto Attendant that will be in the new language.

So in the main Menu prompt, you would say something like, “Welcome to ADTRAN, for Spanish, press 1, for Sales press 2, for dial by name, press 3, for directions, press 4, … etc.

Hope that makes sense.

Re: Bi-lingual system prompts

The issue that we are having is once the caller is into the Spanish menu the prerecorded prompts are in English. For example, when they have selected to the dial-by-name directory option the system prompt instructs them to "input the first 3 letters of the person's name". This prompt is in English and not Spanish. Is there a way to have the prompts spoken in Spanish? Can you send me a snapshot of exactly where the "Change Language" option is? I know where to change the system language. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance.

If you go to the forum on a web browser, you will see an attachment of a screen shot that I took of the Auto Attendant where you can change the language. If you are in your email client, just click the link in the email thread that says, “View the full discussion” and it will take you to the web page of this post.
