Question has anyone connected an Altigen pbx to a 7100 over a sip trunk

I have a customer that has a location with an Altigen pbx at one location and a 7100 at another location. They want to be able to transfer calls and to call extensions at each location over a sip trunk. Has anyone done this and can it be done without a gateway in between?

I'm not aware of anyone ever setting up SIP Trunking between an Altigen PBX and 7100, but suspect PBX-to-PBX calling would work fine.  However, you could experience interoperability issues with blind and/or assisted transfers between systems...
