How many firmware revisions can an SR400ac jump? From 10.2 or 10.3 straight to 10.8?

I need to get NPT firmware tested and deployed on my raft of SR400ac routers. They currently are running 10.2 and 10.3. Is this too far a leap for the "standard" firmware?

I also would like to know this answer. I'm having issues upgrading from 10.8.8.1 to 10.8.12.1, the customer loses connection after upgrading but the modem is still communicating with Device Manager.

Is there a protocol for moving up the firmware versions?
