Re: Call id

Asantana,

Thanks for posting!  Are you referring to the SIP Call ID or the caller ID (ANI) for the call?  If the SIP packet is addressed to the Adtran Total Access unit, or if it goes through the SIP proxy on our unit, you should be able to verify the SIP Call ID and caller ID using the "debug sip stack message" command.  Below is an example.

22:12:37 SIP.STACK MSG     Tx: UDP src=x.x.x.x:5060 dst=x.x.x.x:5060

22:12:37 SIP.STACK MSG         INVITE sip:<number>@<domain>:5346 SIP/2.0

22:12:37 SIP.STACK MSG         From: <sip:5551000@<domain>:5060;transport=UDP>;tag=23c0350-41dbfc61

22:12:37 SIP.STACK MSG         To: <sip:<number>@<domain>:5060>

22:12:37 SIP.STACK MSG         Call-ID: 23edeb0-41dbfc61@<ip address>

22:12:37 SIP.STACK MSG         CSeq: 1 INVITE

Some information has been omitted, but you can see the caller ID of 5551000 and SIP Call ID in the example above.  By default, the Adtran unit will use the caller ID it receives from the inbound trunk, or the number of the voice user, for the From: header (caller ID).  Feel free to reply on this thread with your output of "debug sip stack message".  Just make sure to remove any IP addresses or phone numbers that we should not make public.

Thanks!

David

Re: Call id

Asantana,

The Adtran unit does appear to be sending the caller ID number, but I'm concerned that the "number type" may be throwing off the other device.  Have you changed your ISDN number templates?  Please send us any configuration regarding the ISDN number template and dial plan.

Thanks!
