PRI D Channel Down

Jump to solution

On a 908e I have the following:

interface t1 0/3

  description pri

  snmp trap threshold-reached

  snmp trap line-status

  tdm-group 1 timeslots 1-24 speed 64

  no shutdown

!

interface t1 0/4

  description pri

  snmp trap threshold-reached

  snmp trap line-status

  tdm-group 1 timeslots 1-24 speed 64

  no shutdown

!

!

interface pri 1

  description PRI 1

  isdn name-delivery setup

  connect t1 0/3 tdm-group 1

  role network b-channel-restarts enable

  no shutdown

!

interface pri 2

  description PRI 2

  isdn name-delivery setup

  connect t1 0/4 tdm-group 1

  role network b-channel-restarts enable

  no shutdown

I have plugged in the crossover cables to the Shortel system and the interfaces show UP with no alarms. When I run a debug on isdn it keeps repeating that both PRI's D-Channel is down.

Is this just a bad crossover cable, because I'm pretty certain my interface config is correct?

I would check to see that your clock source for the Interfaces on the Shoretel are set to sync to the 908e.  I have had similar issues with D channels due to a clocking issue.

The on site tech made the T1 crossover incorrectly. All channels now up and active
